Young Photographers and Dreams —
As much as I’d like to take all the credit for this photo, I just can’t. It was shot with my camera, I was in the room when it happened, but the shutter was pressed after a brief look into the viewfinder by my 9yo son. He claims that he took this particular shot this because it “would look cool!”
And was he right? I’d say an emphatic yes.
I wanted to share this photo in particular because it seems he has a natural eye for photography. I’m assuming it’s due to a sponging affect of being around me, observing photos over my shoulder, or just asking simple questions about photos in general. I truly believe he has an unspoken love for photography that’s growing and ready to be nurtured.
My plans were to sell my old camera equipment to help save me some money towards a new one. But after seeing some of his work with my trusty D80, I’ve got other thoughts.
I’m going to give him my D80 to use and learn.
